Unfortunately, most of the town was chiuso (closed) on New Year's Day, including the famous L'Arena (behind us), and even Giulietta's courtyard at the Capulet house (I've never seen it closed before, it's just a courtyard). Fortunately, there was some sort of festival going on, with lots of street performers and music :-)

L'Arena
in Verona.
